If we organize a day of vegetables. The sausage has so much of what can be a meal in itself.

But my favorite ID red beans and rice

£ 1 * Red beans, dried
* 1 large onion, chopped
* 1 bell pepper, chopped
* 5 stalks celery, chopped
* As much garlic as you like, minced (I like, 5 or 6 cloves)
*) 1 large ham Hock, 3 / 4 pound of Creole-based pickle meat (pickled pork, or 3 / 4 pound smoked ham, diced, for seasoning
* 1 to 1-1/2 pounds mild or hot smoked sausage or andouille, sliced on bias
* 1 / v. 2-1 Tea. dried thyme leaves, crushed
* 1 or 2 bay leaves
* How many features of Crystal Hot Sauce or Tabasco as you wish, to taste
* Some features of Worcestershire sauce
* The Creole spices to taste, or
Peppers or pepper to taste
* Salt to taste

Soak the seeds overnight, if possible. The next day, drain and fresh water into the pot. (This reduces the, um, flatulence factor.) Transporter grainmay ... Let the fresh beans, add them in the fridge and warm up and for dinner the next day. They have much better taste. You need to add a little water to get the right consistency.
